He's been one of the brightest lights in comic art since he burst on the scene with Ka-Zar the Savage, Somerset Holmes, Strikeforce: Morituri, and the X-Men graphic novel God Loves, Man Kills. More recently you know him from Kurt Busiek's Astro City and other popular comics. Let's Make Comics!
Javier Hernandez (Los Comex) presents his popular comic book workshop for kids. Participants will create a one-page comic, using an interactive storytelling exercise where everyone can join in the creation of the story. You don't have to be a great artist to make comics, just have a desire to tell stories with words and pictures! Paper and pencils will be provided.

Textures: A Coloring Workshop with Alex Sinclair
DC Comics colorist Alex Sinclair will show you how he uses textures to enhance his work on comic book panels, pages, and covers. He will share tips on how to use the Adobe Photoshop brush tool to its full potential and to help you create different textures. Alex will do various demos and answer questions about his techniques.

The Art of Capcom
Francis Mao (Capcom senior director, creative services) leads a panel of Capcom's graphic designers, artists, and creative partners in a panel pulling back the curtain on how the company's incredible video game artwork is created, from concept to finish. Panelists will explain the creative process and thinking involved in each creative step, as well as go in depth on the tools and applications used to create the awesome works of art that grace Capcom video games and collateral. Followed by a Q&A session.
